Got Wood?

Last weekend Jared, myself, Alisa, Cody, Maggie, David, Ryan and Dan were all loggers! The men went off to fall the trees while the women folk stayed back at camp. Ths e guys went through all the trouble of loading three or four whole trees onto the trailer when a forest ranger showed up and asked for the wood permit. Jared showed him the permits and the ranger rudely informed them that the permit was expired (even though there was no expiration date on the actual permit). Jared offered to drive into town and pick up a permit and the ranger said to unload all the wood off the trailer and back onto the ground. He then suggested we drive into town and pick up a permit before we could reload the wood. Then Jared and myself drove into Preston, ID to pick up wood permits where we found out that you could not get permits on Saturday. The ranger sent us into town on Saturday knowing that we could not obtain the permits that day. We then drove into Logan to see if we could get permits there which we could not! After that we drove all the way back into Idaho back to camp. We ended up staying at camp until Monday when Dan was able to pick up permits on his way up and they were able to finish logging.

This isl me the last day and as you can see, I developed a nice farmer's tan.

But all that toughness can soon wear out a man, poor Dan.

Here are the women folk! Without us the men would just be lonely old, hungry, loggers. :)

It was fun and exciting and I can now say that I am truly greatful for showers!!!!!
